C1S Ivory Board FBB Board for Packaging Printing

CPG Paper supplies C1S Ivory Board, FBB Board and Coated White Cardboard for folding carton packaging and printing applications. The board features high whiteness, strong stiffness, smooth coated surface and good performance in offset printing, lamination, die cutting, creasing and gluing.
It is suitable for cosmetic packaging, food boxes, pharmaceutical cartons, retail boxes, hang tags and paper bags. Available in 190gsm to 400gsm, with customized sheet size, roll width and export pallet packing available on request.

1. What is the difference between ivory board, FBB and coated white cardboard?

Ivory board is a commonly used commercial name for white packaging paperboard. FBB means folding box board and generally refers to multilayer paperboard designed to provide stiffness, printability and converting performance. Coated white cardboard is a broader term and may refer to several different paperboard grades. Buyers should confirm the fibre structure, coating side, back colour and technical data rather than relying only on the product name.
2. Is FBB paperboard the same as duplex board?

No. FBB is generally selected for higher stiffness-to-weight performance, cleaner appearance and premium folding carton applications. Duplex board commonly contains a recycled fibre core and may have a grey or white back, making it more suitable for price-sensitive general packaging.
3. Which grammage should I choose?

As an initial reference: 190–250gsm: lightweight cartons and small product packaging 270–320gsm: cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, personal care and medium folding cartons 350–400gsm: larger cartons or packaging requiring greater rigidity The final choice depends on carton dimensions, product weight, fibre direction, caliper and structural design. Production testing is recommended before bulk orders.
4. Is every ivory board grade food safe?

No. Standard packaging-grade ivory board should not automatically be described as food grade. Please provide the food type, direct or indirect contact condition, contact time, temperature and destination market so that an appropriate grade and supporting documents can be checked.
5. Can you supply both sheets and reels?

Yes, subject to the selected grade and order quantity. Custom sheet dimensions and reel widths can be arranged to match printing, laminating or carton-converting equipment. Please provide size, grain direction, quantity and packing requirements when requesting a quotation.
6. How do you control batch consistency?

Quality control should cover grammage, caliper, size, appearance, moisture, coating condition and packing. Grade-specific technical data and available batch documents can be supplied according to the mill. Buyers may also request pre-shipment inspection before loading.
7. Can I test a sample before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Samples can be supplied for surface evaluation, printing, creasing, die-cutting and gluing tests. For reliable results, the sample should come from the same grade and mill planned for the commercial order.
