Offset Printing Paper
1.Feature
Offset printing paper refers to the paper coated on both sides of the paper in the paper making process to improve the surface physical properties of the paper, small scalability, uniform absorption of ink, good smoothness, compact opaque texture, strong water resistance.
2.Gram
Generally, offset printing paper is between 60 grams and 120 grams, and it is also like 150 grams, 180 grams, 300 grams of high-weight offset printing paper, of which 70-120 grams of offset printing paper is the most widely used.
3.Color
The color of the offset printing paper is not only natural white/beige, but also has a high whiteness of bleaching (up to 103). There are also colored offset printing paper, which is mainly used for flat (offset) printing presses or other printing presses to print more advanced monochrome or color prints.
4.Usage
Offset printing paper is widely used, and all kinds of books and textbooks are its first choice. Secondly, it can be used in magazines, color pages, product catalogs, maps, calendars, covers, manuals, cartoon books, advertising posters, envelopes, books, notebooks, office/official paper, business cards, color trademarks and various packaging products.
5. The difference between Offset Printing Paper and Electrostatic Copy Paper
(1)The Water Content
Generally, the water content of offset printing paper is higher (6-8%), and the water content of electrostatic copy paper is low (3.8-5%).
When copying, low water content can effectively reduce the copy crimp caused by instantaneous high temperature and high pressure. If you use offset printing paper instead of copy paper, the paper may become uneven after copying due to high water content. For offset printing paper, too low water will cause the printing process to meet water and produce paper expansion, resulting in overprinting is not allowed.
(2)Electrostatic Control
General offset printing paper is mainly for the printing area, with static electricity. The electrostatic copy paper itself has eliminated static electricity (the surface sizing agent is added to remove static electricity, and the electrostatic removal device is used when cutting).
(3)Whiteness
The whiteness of the general offset printing paper is low, and the whiteness of the electrostatic copy paper is high, and the luminescent agent is added.
General printing offset printing paper and copy paper production process and process are similar, many copy paper manufacturers in a long time ago with offset printing paper or book paper cutting processing when the copy paper sold. If there is no high requirement, the processed offset printing paper and copy paper can be mixed. Unless you are using a high-speed copier, you will need to choose electrostatic copy paper.
